Serial e-briefing enhances productivity for appellate counsel from the beginning of briefing through oral argument!  That isn't our claim that is a consistent chorus from our clients, many of whom consider serial e-briefing the standard for appeals of any real size or import.

At each step of the appeal, you have the entire record, all prior briefs and all authorities there in front of you.  You can quickly find the key portion of the record that supports your position, or undermines your opponent's, using the full text search feature.  And checking your opponent's legal and record citations requires just a mouse click.

Step 1:  Before briefing begins, the Clerk's Record, exhibits and Reporter's Transcript are digitized and made searchable.  Bookmarks are linked to pertinent sections of the RT, such as opening and closing remarks and witness and examiner.

Digesting the record:  At the time we send you the digitized record, we make our issue analysis tool PreBrief available.  PreBrief is used with the RT to color-code, highlight, and collect annotations sorted by issue.  You can read what your peers say about PreBrief on our Testimonials page.

Steps 2 - 4:  When the Opening Brief is filed, and from that point forward as each brief is filed, you receive updates which include the record, all authorities and all prior briefs hyperlinked to the exact location in the cited material.  Copies can be quickly and easily shared with co-counsel.

Step 5:  Finally, when preparing for oral argument, often months after briefing is complete, you have everything you need at your fingertips
